Hall of Justice Repair and Reuse
MARKET: OFFICE, HISTORIC
RWBID provided project management, construction management, and project controls for the $230 Million Hall of Justice Repair and Reuse project. The Hall of Justice was constructed in 1925 of a steel-frame structure encased in concrete, concrete floor slabs, granite exterior veneer, and hollow clay tile interior partitions. The project consisted of several phases of work, including debris removal, nonstructural demolition, structural demolition, seismic retrofit work, the removal of two floors, the addition of shotcrete walls, and other seismic upgrades throughout the building. The Hall of Justice serves as a Class-A office building housing the Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney.
